What is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini yoga is for everyone, no matter what your experience so far. It is a yoga for life in the 21st century, to build your strength and confidence, enabling you to enjoy life to the full and not feel defeated by change or circumstance.

Yogi Bhajan taught above all that we should relate to our infinite selves, not our perceived limitations. The subtle use of Kundalini energy can make this change.

The human form is the most sophisticated piece of equipment on the planet and yet we have little instruction to show us how to get the best out of it. Kundalini Yoga is a complete science which works through the body, mind and spirit to deliver us to the grace and greatness which is our birthright. Kundalini Yoga impacts all aspects of our physical, mental and spiritual being.

It promotes a general sense of relaxation and well-being by balancing the glandular system. Strengthening the nervous system, promoting the better functioning of our bodily systems, promoting emotional balance and enhanced intuition, allowing us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions so we can be in control of ourselves rather than being controlled by our thoughts and feelings. It also helps to eliminate negative habits increasing our radiance and the impact we have on others.

What to expect:

Classes are the perfect opportunity to get you started with the transformation of mind, body and spirit. I like to think of it as a gourmet meal with 5 parts; tune in, warm ups, a specific kriya, savasana and tune out.

Kundalini goes beyond the physical performance of poses with its emphasis on breathing, meditation, mudras (hand gestures) and chanting and you will learn tools that can help you relax, improve your physical and emotional health, break unwanted patterns and habits and possibly uncover your hidden creative talents.

The gentle movements and breathing exercises are for everyone and on some classes you will get to learn mantras and a number of meditations that will specifically release stress and open you up gently to your potential.

Lindsay is passionate about helping people be the best versions of themselves and to connect with self awareness whilst also improving digestion, strengthening the nervous system and supporting mind, body and spirit.
